Congratulations Jodie Jamieson of Delbourne, Alberta and her mare Sum R Hot Wave. Jodie's Crimewave daughter is a full sister to LCC QH broodmare A Natural Crime and has the same sire as our new stallion Its Real Dark. Sum R Hot Wave was the South Country Barrel Futurity champion and took 3rd at the Silver Sage Futurity at Brooks, Alberta.
Its Real Dark shares the same sire as futurity and derby standouts (SG and championships) Foxy Crime, Foxy Prize, Dixie Golden Moon, Crime Style, Sum R Hot Wave, Foxy Wave, Rockin Down Dash, Twaynas Crime, Angelita Crime and MANY MORE to come! Many of Crimewaves offspring are doing well on the rodeo trail including Foxy Wave, Foxy Crime and Jetmeawave. These horses have found success with multiple riders and many locations. The dams side of Its Real Dark is stacked with a history of race and performance champions.
Acquired by LCC Quarter Horses in 2007, Its Real Dark compliments our breeding program very well. We are looking forward to crossing him on our Capital Flight, Roy and Wrangler daughters.
The Crimewave horses come with a built in turn, solid bone and a solid mind. Its Real Dark is no different. He has a body built for a champion and an intelligent look about him. All the things we want in our prospects. We are excited to have a few Its Real Dark foals on the ground for 2008 and will expose him to even more mares the following year.
This horse goes back to the immortal Jet Deck several times through both sire and dam. Jet Deck is a horse that shows up in the pedigrees of NFR qualifiers year after year. It takes a special horse to handle the rodeo road, and we feel the soundness of mind and body Jet Deck possessed has been carried through to his grand get through the likes of Its Real Dark and horses going down the trail to the NFR.
We look for the get of Its Real Dark to have solid confirmation, a hip built for turns and an all business attitude. He will cross very well with our race and working mares for a top notch barrel prospect and rope horse prospect.
His sire, Crimewave has sired racing champion Runnintofast and multiple barrel racing champions including Foxy Crime the 2006 Canadian Barrel Futurities Hi Point derby horse as a 5 year old and two siblings Foxy Wave and Rockin Down Dash were tied for runner up in the futurity standings. Relatively Dark SI - 93 ROM is a race winner and dam to race and stakes winners. Including Hiclass Glass, Requested Glass, Relatively Special, Naturally Dark, Dark Jet Rocket and leading money earner Dark N Dashing. Her sire, Mr Dark Jet had a SI of 102 and also sired many race champions.
